How We Began
How We Began
The Pantry was established as in Outreach of Mt. Zion Apostolic Temple in 2008. Through Grains for God Bread Ministry, MZT began providing the Church and community with assorted breads and pastries from Panera Bread on a weekly basis.
A member of the Church came forward and asked “How can we feed a family?” From this the Pantry was birthed. In response to an increasing need for more than bread, Church Members began donating canned goods, and non-perishable items.
As the number of families needing assistance became greater, The Pantry began purchasing their items through Shared Harvest Food Bank and local support stores.
Now in existence for over 10 years, The Village Food Pantry continues to operate a Food Pantry on a weekly basis to the residents of Butler Country, Ohio.
Our Mission is to ensure that no individual or family goes hungry or without their daily needs being met. Our basic philosophy is that Hope Reaches outside the Walls to provide assistance in the areas of human basic need.
The Village Food Pantry is an exempt organization as described in Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
